The
staff at Killington Medical Clinic opened newly constructed building
in December of 2002 and showed off their new space at an open house
in January of 2003.
The
16,200 square-foot, three-story building sits adjacent to Rams Head
Lodge, where their former clinic was housed. The Clinic is the result
of a long-term 60-year lease with Killington Ltd.
Killington
Medical Clinic features x-ray, casting and sports medicine services
as well as walk-in medical care for Killington employees and area
residents and vacationers. Other services include worker’s
compensation care to area businesses and rehabilitation services
for physical injuries. The Clinic is staffed by Emergency Medicine
physicians Drs. James Russell, Melbourne Boyton, and 10 other
staff members.
In
addition to Killington Medical Clinic, the building will also house
the Killington Ski Patrol and Killington First Aid.
The
building’s Design-Builder was John Russell Corporation of
Rutland. The Architect was Rob Meyer of Manchester. The Mechanical/Electrical
Engineer was Salem Engineering of Charlotte and the Civil/Structural
Engineer was DeWolfe Engineering Associates, Inc. of Montpelier.
Many other local sub-contractors were involved in the construction.
