| The Fellows and Residents Program at Killington Medical Clinic | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Throughout the winter sports season, Killington Medical Clinic hosts some of the nation's-and the world's-most talented, promising orthopedic and sports medicine specialists. These visiting doctors come to our facility for the unique opportunity to study acute ski and snowboard injuries just moments after they happen. Participants in the program are high-level students from the recognized and respected Cornell University Medical College and the Hospital of Special Surgery. Fellows, physicians who have already completed their residency requirements, use their time at KMC to fulfill post-graduate study requirements in sports medicine. Residents receive specialized training in acute care management, examination skills and diagnostics. Both KMC and participating doctors benefit by sharing their knowledge and experience through the Fellows and Residents Program. Most importantly, KMC patients reap the rewards of a cooperative relationship between experienced sports medicine specialists and the future's finest doctors.
